Promoting the Education of previously looked after children – training for parents of adoptive children and special guardianships
Training to raise the understanding and awareness in respect to the role and duties of key people (designated teachers and Virtual Schools) in promoting and supporting the educational achievement of previously looked after children.
The training will consider and explore the role of key people in promoting the education of previously looked after children, school admission arrangements, attendance and exclusions, special education needs and disabilities, Personal Education Plans and Pupil Premium Plus.

Transition in Education Training
This training is designed to support parents and guardians of previously looked after children with:
- Thinking about the variety of transitions within your child’s education setting.
- Thinking about imminent school transition.
- Thinking about the impact of these transitions and what can be done to support your child.
- Thinking about who can help you with your child’s needs around transition.
